Step Two: Planning Session with Client’s Architect, Designer or Other Consultants
Once our estimate is accepted, the next step is to meet with the project architect, designer and/or other project consultants to better understand the overall project concepts and the nuances that can impact the overall budget.
For projects that require the involvement of an architect or designer, we work collaboratively to maintain the integrity of the design and align the overall project concepts and budget with the client’s expectations. Occasionally, we are able to identify mechanical or plumbing issues early on that need to be addressed prior to plan submittal. Identifying these issues during this step helps save our client time and money, and helps to avoid any unexpected delays during project construction.
For smaller projects that do not require architectural involvement, Ramstar Builders can develop drawings and designs.
After the planning session, Ramstar develops a detailed project proposal. The timeline is fine tuned and the budget updated, as required. For projects less than $40,000, Ramstar works on a time and materials fee basis. For projects above $40,000, we work either on a time and materials basis or fixed bid price based on our accepted project proposal. Once the project proposal is accepted and the contract is signed, we move to Step Three.
