The term “Custom Home” usually refers to a home or vacant parcel that is owned or managed by someone other than the contractor or developer. 

 

Usually, the homeowner and architect have worked together for a period of time to develop a plan suited to the needs of the owner.  The next step is to find a contractor with the ability to construct the structure as it is designed and specified.
